PGA Tour
The PGA Tour leveraged Meshh’s Spatial Analytics platform to better understand how visitors spend their time at PGA Tour events.
The Challenge
The PGA Tour need to develop a better understanding of where visitors spend their time while on-site at a PGA Tour event. Are fans spending the majority of their time around the gate through which they entered, or do they explore other areas of the course? What paths do they take from one point to the next?
Implementation
Meshh deployed dozens of sensors throughout multiple PGA Tour stops at gates, various food and beverage outlets, hospitality areas and branded-activations.
Insights + Actions
Through a variety of custom reporting, Meshh analyzed visitor behavior to understand the likelihood a visitor was to traverse to a certain part of a course after entering through a specific gate; this data will act as a benchmark for future measurements to improve YoY traffic flows. Additionally, comparative data across tournaments was leveraged to better understand which events visitors were likely to stick around longer and where they were likely to spend their additional engagement time. Finally, Meshh provided analysis around ticket type and measured the success of various levels of hospitality areas.
